What’s the Process?
The decision to upgrade your website is a big one. It can seem like a daunting process, but we’ve broken it down into five easy to understand steps. Let us do all of the “heavy lifting” so you can focus on your business!
Step 1: Design
We’ll have an in-person or virtual meeting where we discuss color schemes, function, special features (like e-commerce), graphics, videos, and the overall look. We always recommend coming to the meeting with a few examples of websites you love. After that meeting, our creative team takes some time to bring your vision to life.
Step 2: Review
Once our team has had some time to work through the design process, we’ll present you with an initial mockup of your site. We’ll discuss the layout, colors, and other design elements, while getting your feedback and changes that you’d like our creative team to implement. We won’t proceed to the next step until you’re completely happy with the design.
Step 3: Development
Now that the design is approved, it is time for your website to go to our developers. They’ll start to build the website on a development server so you can view the site online without it being accessible by the public. During this time, you can work with your project manager to nail down the voice, content, and graphics. We’ll make sure your site is responsive, accessible and SEO-friendly.
Step 4: Testing
Once your website has been coded by our developers and you’ve settled on all of your content, it is time to review your new site on a test server. You’ll receive a link to view your website and share with your company and decision-makers. We’ll handle any tweaks that need to be made before the site is finalized.
Step 5: Launch!
At long last, your new site is ready to launch! Once you give the go-ahead, our developers will start the launch process. This includes setting up your hosting plan and getting your domain name pointed. After a few hours, your site will be live and ready for you and the rest of the world!
Even after your new site is online, our work isn’t done. We’ll stick with you to ensure your content stays fresh and relevant, and keep your site protected from hackers and malware. We can even help manage your social media and other offsite promotion to introduce your new site to the world!
